Sophomore Pilgrimage

Since 1934, each club within Missouri has sponsored an outstanding sophomore from local high schools to Jefferson City the second Tuesday of every April. This project promotes good citizenship and enables the students to see our state government in action. Students meet their legislators, tour the Capitol, Governor’s Mansion, and Supreme Court.  The Ste. Genevieve Club sponsors a sophomore student from each of the local high schools.

Missouri Girls Town

In 1953 GFWC of Missouri, Inc., founded Missouri Girls Town (MGT), a residential treatment facility near Kingdom City for abused and neglected girls in Missouri.  At MGT the emphasize is on education, wholesome activities, and work.
